4th Annual Sylvia's Ride
On Saturday, June 5, 2010 the Durham Divas hosted our 4th annual charity poker run in honour of our founding president, Sylvia Spice, or Spicy Diva as we affectionately called her, who passed away in May 2006. This year all proceeds went directly to the Denise House, which is a shelter for abused women and children in our community. We are happy to report that this year we raised $5,420.00 for this very worthy cause. A very special thank you to Durham Honda Powerhouse in Whitby for helping us to host this event by providing the location, as well as many extras including tents, tables, chairs, trophies for show and shine winners, washroom facilities and a live band for our enjoyment.
A warm Diva thank you to all those who came out to support this event.

Running an event of this size would not be possible without the help of an army of volunteers.
The event this year was run by our Charity Coordinator, Janet McKnight, who is also a founding member of the club.
